The Mermaid Is Not Over The Waves

Thinking about mermaids since the day before Pearl Harbor Day (December 7th). Since that happened, I think I should do the next Troublesome Critters picture which has one cameo appearance of one. Plus, I have been hoping to do a mermaid series one of these days. So I think this mermaid on this picture would be a concept of a main character of some mermaid work. She is actually based on my mom since she loves Mermaids. So here is this picture. I started it yesterday and I got it finished today.

Sylvester thought he saw a mermaid. The others were confused yet thought he might've see things. What Carlos was holding is an accordion, playing a famous song, SOBRE LAS OLAS ("Over the Waves") by Juventino Rosas, which that song is famous for waltzes. It is also known to be played for any moment of being on the ocean like a sailor.

Who knows when I will do a mermaid series! This is worth drawing in my opinion!
