Make The Perfect Match [LPS]

One day at Blythe Baxter's Littlest Pet Shop, Penny Ling was performing with her ribbon. Smiling while she dances, her purple and white body were all full of animation. She really feels good today as she twirls and swirls around like a twister with pink outlines mixing with purple and white.

Among her dancing was Russell Ferguson, who was looking through his To-Do list. He was checking to make sure that everything was all done properly.

"Let's see now...." he replies while reading off the titles of tasks he needs to do.

" 'Clean doghouses'? Checked!" he looks over and adds, "plus Zoey's house, double checked!"

Just when he was reading the next one, his eyes turned when Penny just hops passed him during her dance.

"Wow, amazing dance" he smiles at this. "I've never seen her so wonderful, like a goddess who just does whatever the heck she does"


Just then, while Russell was distracted by Penny's wonderful dances, he wonders how he will ever express his love without sounding like an idiot or without making Penny become too shy from his confession.

Just as Penny disappears, Russell then has a feeling that he should go back to his list. Even when he did, he couldn't concentrate with those visions of Penny. Just then, he got startled by the sounds of a mongoose and a lizard, who are heading this way.

"Yikes!" Russell gasped.

It was only Sunil Nevla, the blue magician for a mongoose and Vinnie Terrio, a savvy dancer. They chuckled to see how Russell reacted by the noises they make. "Oh, you should've seen the look on your face, Russell!" Vinnie hooted.

"Uh...hi, guys."

"Is there something wrong, Russell?" Sunil questions him, noticing that Russell seems a bit troubled. "Well...it's just that...well...it's about Penny." Russell stuttered in his words, answering. "You really like her?" Vinnie questions him. They couldn't help it, but to chuckle from that. They are not mean or anything. They just get amused quite easily since they both love to do pranks.

"It's just a small crush!" Russell said, hate how they respond by chuckling a bit. "Can it be that it's because you don't know how to say it to her?" Sunil questions him. "Yes..." Russell admits, "she doesn't even know how I really feel about her."

Just then, those two were thinking. All of the sudden, light bulbs popped out of nowhere, lighten up. Like they had an idea. Then they disappear as they glance at him in a mischievous way.

"We got an idea that might help you out..." Sunil hooted. Russell took at glance at the two, thinking {{I wonder what they're planning...?}} Just then, they grabbed him and yanks him offscreen. He screams as he was pulled away. The screen then fades out.

When the iris fades in, we see Russell looking unimpressed and is wearing a badly sewn costume that looks a lot like Penny Ling's fure and body. He was wearing a panda suit while the face represents his face. Looking a bit upset, he also has a wand with a ribbon string on it.

The boys couldn't help but to snicker. "My, Russell, you look pretty!" Vinnie replies.

"Yeah, pretty ridiculous...." Russell responded sarcastically. "Is this suppose to help me or is this some kind of joke!?"

Just then, Sunil stops giggling and then begins to explain. "You see, Russell, you want to show her how much you love you, you got to do what she does."
"Meaning I HAVE to act just like her?" He questions, feeling a bit upset, "You're nuts!"
"No thanks, I'd like cashews!" Sunil smirked.

Just then, out of the blue was Pepper, the gray comedian skunk, who just responded, "Gesundheit!" And then, a rim shot was heard. Pepper, Sunil, and Vinnie all laughed.

Russell grunts angrily.

Pepper was already gone as Sunil walks near Russell, trying to convince him. "Oh, come on, Russell. You want her to know how much you like her, don't you?"
"I do," the hedgehog agrees, but protests by saying, "But not like this."
Vinnie then yelled, "Look, there she comes!" Vinnie bangs away, which leaves Sunil there. Sunil then sez to Russell, "Just dance to it!" And then, he, too, zooms away, leaving Russell there. It was too late for Russell to reject. She was indeed heading this way. So what he did was he tries to catch his breath first. Then, he thinks a moment and then, he got in position and attempts to dance....AWKWARDLY.

He skips to dance towards Penny, which she was dancing wonderfully. He tries to best to copy her dances like a mirrored image. Moving the arms and legs with all his might, it felt like his crotch and armpits beginning to tear up, since he isn't as flexible as she is. He sweats from this while Penny is just enjoying it as she usually does.

Funny to say, she doesn't even notice that Russell was there. From all that copying her moves, even if he kind of wobbles a bit, there was no way she'll ever see him. Russell sweats a bit, trying to ace all her moves.

When Penny gets to the jumping motion, before that would happen, Russell's ribbon was below his legs. They looked like they were being wrapped around his legs from all that spinning around. When the ribbon was firmly tightened, that's when Penny jumps. When Russell tried to jump with her....

SWISH!

The ribbon jerks his legs, disorientating him to fall down to the ground. Like an incoming, falling tree from being cut down, he trips down and goes down with a great big THUMP!

"Oof!" he grunted.

That broke the sensation of Penny from dancing. She turns back, wondering what was that. Before her eyes was Russell, in that silly costume with his feet tied together by the ribbon. Russell then looks up and gasped when he notices that Penny saw him in this condition.
"I-it's not what it looks like!" Russell reacts, feeling worried and embarassed right in the presence of Penny Ling. "Russell?" Penny questions, tilting her head. "What are you doing, impersonating me?" From that question, Russell's face was blushing but he knew that he needs to fess up.
"It was their idea," the hedgehog confesses, "I wanted to find a way to impress you, but they dressed me up in this costume."
Penny notices that Russell was pointing the other way. When she looks over, she notices Vinnie and Sunil were watching from the entrance. Shocked on being spotted, the mongoose and the lizard dashed away from the corner of the entrance. Just then, she looks back at Russell.

"Impress me....?" that was then, Russell notices that there was a pink blush on her. "Do you....like me, Russell?" she asks.
Russell's mouth was dry as his fastened heartbeats prevent him from speaking up, but he did. "Yes". Once he said that, he wonders how she'll react. But first, what happened was that Penny got the ribbon off of his legs and lifts him up. Russell wonders what is going to respond to what he just answered. Suddenly, he notices that smile on her face. She then kisses him.
Russell's face was red as a cherry. He has no clue what to say. His quills were stiffened. "Well, to be honest, I like you, too," she said warmly with a titter. "You...really think so?" the hedgehog questions, all surprised about Penny's truth. "I do," she said, "yet I was too shy to express it, just like you, but you managed to let it out. You are so honest, so neat and tigthy, and you sure know more about fun than you think." Russell, in spite that he was a bit like sap because of Sunil and Vinnie, felt like she was just like him. So there was no reason to feel embarrassed since he and Penny have confess their love.

"Plus, you look pretty cute in that costume of yours," Penny admits, hugging him. "Just like my very own hedgehog panda doll!" She then begins to snuggle on his chest. Russell couldn't help, but to smile and hug onto her.
"I love you, Russell..." Penny cooed.
"I love you, too, Penny."

That was then, while they were snuggling, Sunil and Vinnie were seen again, behind the couch. Feeling quite successful, they give each other a bro fist. "Well, Sunil, our job here is done!" Vinnie replies proudly. "I couldn't agree more!" Sunil said, adding, "Even though he looks cute and silly in that, he looks like a PERFECT MATCH for Penny!" And then he chuckles as the rim shot was played.

"Hey, you!"

Popping out of the left side was Pepper again, looking unpleased at him. Sunil forgot that Pepper is usually the one who does the jokes around here, even the bad puns. Sunil scratches the back of his head nervously, saying, "Oops. Hee hee....sorry, Pepper..."

Vinnie couldn't help but chuckle as a response to that...
