*Sonic and Tails are overlooking the moon from upon a snowy hill by the frozen sea*

"May, it sure is a nice evening, isn't it?" Sonic asked Tails. He notices that Tails was shivering bit. Having his red and white scarf and red gloves, he shivers a lot. He speaks as his teeth chattering, "Maybe nice to you..." "Aw come on man! look at the moon, it's beautiful, and the falling snow is a nice touch too." He's then struck in the face by a snowball. "Ow! who did that!?" He turns around fast to see who throw that. A female yellow hedgehog is seen on shore, waving to Sonic.

"Merna? " Sonic gasped, "Is that you?" He speeds his way towards her. "Hey, Sonic, wait for me!" Tails tries his best to speed up, in spite of the snow makes him a bit slow. "Hey Sonic, Hey Tails!" She shouts while dragging herself ashore. Sonic speeds over and picks her up. "Merna," Sonic smiles, giving her a rub on her nose with his. She giggles as Sonic asks, "What brings you here? Won't you get cold?" She shivers. "I'm already cold Sonic, the ocean's freezing up and there's not that many fish in the sea. So I came to shore looking for warmth, and it looks like I found it." she hugs Sonic. Sonic looks at the shore, tilting his head curiously. "Really?" Sonic asks. Tails shook his head. "I hardly believe it. I mean, sure there are some warm currents that go on cold areas, but that shore there?" "It looked inviting, I didn't think it'd be covered in snow too. Anyway, can we go some place warmer?" She shivered again. "We were just going back to the cabin now," Sonic said as he picks up the sweet merhog. "Care to join? We got a pool we can use and it's not an outside pool either." She wraps her arms around Sonic's neck. "I'd love to." With that, Sonic sped off with the merhog in his arms and Tails close behind. "Sonic, don't leave me out of the cold like this!" Tails yelled as he pit pats wearily behind Sonic's tracks.


Minutes after that, they were inside a sweet, big cabin. The place was well decorated with lights and carpets. The fire was kindling at the fireplace and the snow was all over the outside. At this moment, Tails was filled up a rise above pool with a hose that is connected to the kitchen sink. Underneath the pool were huge heavy towels in case water spills over. Luckily, the pool was made of tough steel. "Oh, it looks heavenly." Merna is sitting on a pile of towels waiting for the tub to fill up. "Sonic! Turn off the hose! It's going to overflow!" Tails yelled at the kitchen entrance. "Oh crud!" Sonic rushes over to the sink and shuts it off before the water level gets too high. Tails looks over and notices that it didn't reach too high. Tails then sighs in relief as he calls, "Good news, Sonic! It didn't reach over!" "Well that's good to know!" He comes back inside. "Alright, now let's get you in first." he lifts Merna and places her in the tub.

Merna begins to chuckle as she swims around and around without causing the water to spill out. "How is it?" Tails asked. "It's just perfect!" Merna said, emerging from the pool. "Not too hot, not too cold, just right!" "Speaking of whi- Oh shoot! I forgot I left the stove on! Be right back!" Sonic sped into the kitchen, leaving Tails alone with Merna. Merna then decides to lay back on the water, enjoying her time on there. Tails then asks her, "Say, how does it feel like being in a pool?" She flicks her tail at him and sticks her tongue at him. "Why don't you find out." she winks. Tails blushes from that sweet tone and look. "Come on, step in, the water's great." she says. "I don't have my swimming trucks yet." Tails said as he quickly heads upstairs. Sonic comes back inside. "Everything's alright, nothing's burned, and now..." He goes into the closet and grabs a couple of pool floaties. Merna was surprised to see the boys were joining in with her. Tails was already in his green and light green swimming trunks while Sonic was wearing a red trunk. The three relaxed as they let the feelin of the warm water sink in. Tails was just happy to have his floaties with him.

Merna inched closer to Sonic and ran a finger down his arm. "So, how've you been Sonic?" She looked at him with a half-lidded smile. "Oh, just getting things ready for Christmas," Sonic said, "Need some help with cooking some goodies with Amy and Sally, need lots of help from Knuckles for carrying gifts, and hoping that we start a party pretty soon." "Well, can I come?" she asked. Sonic smiled as he sez, "Why not? The more, the merrier!" "Aw thanks Sonic." she hugs him. "Well, the party won't be until 2 days." Tails explains, "Besides, we got lots of work to do, too." "I could help." she said. "If you need an extra pair of hands, look no further." "As long as you have the ability to be out of the pool, that would be necessary." Sonic said with a tickle on her belly. She giggles. "Of course. Uh..." She tries to stand on her tail but falls and holds onto Sonic. Sonic blushed from that. Tails giggle from that. "Um, I think I'll just stay in here if that's okay." she blushes. "Fear not," Sonic said. "I'm pretty fast at doing chores with my best speed." "Alright, I don't really feel like getting out anyway." Merna sinks below the surface and re-surfaces, throwing her hair back.
"You relax there, Merna..." Sonic smiled.


The next day...

Merna awoke to the smell of frying bacon and sausage with peppered eggs. "Mmm, that smells great..." She muttered to herself as she opened her eyes. She was still in the pool at this time. Sonic was in his cooking apron as he was humming "He's The Fastest Thing Alive" while the goods are being sizzled on the hot pan. "Breakfast is almost ready and I'll send you some, too, Merna!" "Okay!" Merna laid back in the pool. Minutes later, her belly was beginning to rumble. She rubbed it lightly. 'Wow, didn't realize how hungry I was.' she thought. Sonic comes out with a huge tray that has all the breakfast goodies: pancakes, sausages, bacon, eggs, all that. Sonic patted his own belly as he notices her. "Hey, Merna! Since me and Tails are done with ours, we saved you some!" "Aw thanks Sonic." She said. As Sonic placed the tray before her, she pecked his cheek. Sonic then sez, "Enjoy!" She takes the fork and stares at it, drooling. "This is gonna be sweet."


*10 minutes later...*

"Hiccup!" Merna dropped the fork onto the plate and laid back massaging her slightly bloated stomach. She puts a hand to her mouth to muffle a loud burp. "Ahh... that was delicious." She muttered. "I've never felt this full in a while." "I see that you really like surface food, don't you?" Sonic smiled after that. Tails then added, "Least we didn't have any fish this morning."
"Very funny. But regardless, it was incredible boys." She said. Sonic walks near her, waving his hand as if he means to rub her belly. She giggles. "Go ahead, I don't bite." "I know, I just want you to lay down so I can rub your full stomach,' Sonic said with a wink. "I'd love that." She does so and lays back allowing Sonic to give her a good belly rub. "Mmmmm..." she coos. As Sonic continues to rub, she notices that blush on Merna's face. Sonic couldn't help but to blush, too. "Feeling good?" He asks. "Yeah, keep rubbing." She sighs. That was then, Sonic begins to tickle it with both his hands.


Merna's mouth curves into a smile and she bursts into laughter. She reacts by moving her tail upward, causing water to splash out and gets on Sonic. Sonic yells as a reaction since he detests a bit of water. There, Sonic was all wet. Tails begins to chuckle from that.
"Hahaha, aw sorry, forgot you didn't like water." Merna said teasingly. Sonic sighs as he said, "It's alright. I deserve that." Tails then calls, "Hey, Sonic, it's two days until the party. Shouldn't we decorate the house today?" Sonic looks up in suprise. "Oh man, you're right! Come on Tails." he zooms off. Tails pit pats after him. Merna wonders what was going to happen next, but just then, that same blue blur came in with all the Christmas decorations. Before Merna's very eyes, the whole place swirled from Sonic's deep happens to have decorations less than a few seconds. "One more thing." Sonic puts a christmas CD into the DVD player and presses play. "Rockin' around the christmas tree, have a happy holiday..."

The whole place was coated with holly and ribbons and some candy canes. The place twinkled merrily as it sparks with joy. The artificial snow was around, too. Merna has never seen anything like this. "Wow, i-it's beautiful..." she muttered to herself. "Well, I almost forgot that you can do that, Sonic," Tails chuckled nervously. Sonic gives him a friendly pat on Tails' back as he sez, "No worries, bro. Just a hero's job!" Tails rolls his eyes and smirks. "I'm gonna go make some hot chocolate." He goes into the kitchen, leaving Sonic alone with Merna. "Hot chocolate?" Merna questions Sonic. Sonic sits outside the tub, next to her. "It's basically chocolate milk only hot." "Sounds delicious," Merna said, licking her lips. "Here comes the hot chocolate!" Tails' holler was heard. "I even added real melted chocolate so it tastes even better." Tails sets the tray down. Merna notices that third mug. She picks it up and smells it, it smelled fantastic. "Mmm..." she blows it and takes a sip. Her eyes twinkle from that sweet, chocolaty taste.


She waits until it's a bit cooler before guzzling it down. It didn't burn the inside of her throat, but it was warm enough to feel through her tummy. She cooed before she drinks more. Sonic looks at her. "Well someone loves her hot chocolate." he says. Tails smiles to see Merna having all the time she needs to enjoy her hot chocolate. "You know, Sonic?" Tails asked while answering at the same time, "I think we should get a tree pretty soon." "Oh right! We can't have christmas without a christmas tree, I'll get the chainsaw." He goes into the closet. "Tails, where'd we put the chainsaw?" Tails giggles as he sez, "We don't need that. We can use a chopping axe from that shed we painted last month." Sonic groaned. "Aww fine, I never liked using the axe though." "But with your speed, it'll be fast," Tails said, in spite of his chuckle. He gives Tails a "really?" kind of look. "That's easy for you to say, you haven't used it before." "Because of that chainsaw, silly," Tails said, "Besides, it'll kill a tree pretty fast." Sonic let out a defeated sigh. "Fine, but that doesn't mean I have to like it." He puts on his coat and leaves the cabin, axe in hand. "We'll be back, Merna!" Tails said before shutting the door. "Okay!" Merna shouts. She lays back in the tub. "What now?"


Merna thought and thought...

"I could probably... no, I'd need to be in the ocean to do that... I could... *sniff, sniff* what is that smell?" She wondered. She leans a bit on the pool, trying to recognize that smell. "Whatever it is, it smells good. How do I get inside?" She spots a small wagon loaded with fire wood next to the pool. "Of course!" Merna chuckled. She reaches for the pulling handle of the wagon. She removes the firewood and stacks it in a neat pile on the floor. She then crawls out and loads herself onto the wagon. Using her arms as to move the wagon, she scoots the ground to push. She makes sure the handle was not on the ground. "Alright, come on..." she moves toward the kitchen, and when she enters...

Merna gasped. There was a table stocked with silver pots, all covered and on the tables were bottles of soda, bags of various snacks and candy canes. "Candy?" she cooed as she drools at the same time. She reaches for one but pulls her hand back. "I can't do that, what would Sonic and Tails say?" She even notices the gingerbread. The houses, villages, and even gingerbread people on it. It was a sugar heaven. Merna couldn't help drooling. She wipes her own mouth. Her stomach all of the sudden rumbled loudly. "I'll... have one, just one. Then, it's back to the pool." She takes a candy cane. Merna licks her lips crazily, her face brightens. She has never tasted anything so sweet and delicious. "Mmmmm... Merna, control yourself. It's just candy, sweet, colorful, delicious..." But then, she couldn't help it. She gazes at them hungrily.


*Minutes later...*

"Ooohhhhh..." Merna rubbed her engorged belly, packed to the brim with candy and cookies. A single gingerbread man sat atop her belly. "Merna, we're home!" Sonic's voice was heard. Her eyes went wide. "Oh no..." "We got the tree and..." Sonic's voice pauses... "Merna? Where did you go?" Tails' voice hollered. Just then, nearing footsteps were heard. Merna looked around desperately for a way to escape while the footsteps grew louder. Just then, Sonic and Tails emerged to the entrance. All Merna could do was smile nervously. "Hey guys..." Sonic fainted. Tails just stood in shock. "All that hard work..."
That was then, Merna's belt snapped. It landed in Tails' face and dropped onto his nose. Merna's basketball-sized belly jiggled as it came free. She took the gingerbread cookie on top of it. "There's uh... one left, you want it?" Tails looked unamused. Merna frowns to see that Tails wasn't that close of being happy. "I, uh..." Merna was at a loss for words.

Sonic was finally awake. He was holding his head, moaning dizzily, "Wha.....what just happened?" "Miss 'greedy gut' over here, ate our gingerbread village, that's what." Tails said. Sonic looks over on what he sees. All he finds is an eaten village and a chubby mermaid, losing her smile. Sonic walks near her, not looking angry, but a bit surprised. Worried about what he might say, she spoke up. "Sonic please don't be mad, I didn't mean to, I was hungry and... and..." Sonic placed his hand on Merna's mouth as if he means to tell her not to speak. Sonic looks around the damage that was left. Debris of gingerbread, gumdrops scattered, candy canes broken, everything was all like a wasteland now. He looks at Merna with that silly smirk on his face. "Sonic, why are you looking at me like that?" she asks. Sonic takes the gingerbread cookie Merna was holding and puts it to her lips. Sonic smiles all of a sudden. "Sonic, I don't- mmf!" He puts the cookie in her mouth.

"Relax, fair merhog," Sonic said. "I know you didn't mean to eat all the hard work me and Tails did. But you wanna know something? I did most of the cooking and Tails did most of the decorating the gingerbread. Actually, it didn't take us as long as Tails said, right, Tails?" Tails blushes as if he was wrong to insult Merna. What Sonic said was nothing but the truth. Tails nods as he gives out a cute yet shameful position. Merna looked suprised as she swallowed. "Really?" "Yes," Sonic said, "In fact, when we were out getting the tree, we regret that we didn't get to make a Knothole Village out of gingerbread and made our own personal gingerbread Mobians that look perfectly like us." Tails walks near Merna, apologizing," I'm sorry, Merna....that I overreacted..."
That got her to smile a little. "Oh Tails, I can't stay mad at someone as adorable as you." She reached up and pinched his cheek. Tails' face was red as a cherry when that happened.


"Well, Merna, time to get you back in the pool so we can cook all this again," Sonic said as he is about to lift her up. Merna looks unsure. "Are you sure you can carry me like this Sonic? I'm practically a seal." Sonic said, "Of course, I can." By the time he gets her off the table, he grunts. She was in fact a bit heavy. But Sonic can take it. "See?" he said with a grunt, "I can handle it." Sonic gently yet hastily walks his walk towards the pool and places her inside. Merna, for the most part, was stunned. "Wow, I knew you were strong, but... wow." She runs a hand down his arm. "Aw, how else could I have chopped down that tree, I'm stronger than I look." Sonic said, pointing to the left. "Alright, and again, I'm sorry I ate all that gingerbread and candy." She said, rubbing her stomach underwater. "That's okay," Sonic said, "And since you cleaned that out, we'll do a better one! I think what you did was more of a favor. Now we'll be able to make the Knothole Village out of gingerbread. And....you get to have your own cookie that looks like you. How about that?" Sonic said proudly. She smiled and kissed Sonic's cheek. "I'd love that." Sonic chuckled as he sez, "It won't be long really." Sonic said as he zooms away. While he was gone, Merna looks at the left. There was the wonderful spruce with young, fresh green colors all around. The tree was decently away from the fire place as there were some small decorations around it. Like artificial snow, colorful ornaments, candy canes with gay colors, and some ribbons that spiff up the tree even more. Merna's mouth was left open, blown away from the tree's heavenly presence. "My, what a wonderful tree they have found." She then saw Tails come back inside. "I, uh, forgot to give this back." He holds out her broken belt. Merna takes it, saying, "Thanks, but don't worry. I'll get a new belt sooner or later. My belly is a bit plump right now." She ties the broken belt into a ribbon around her fin. "But at least it can still be used for something." She joked. Tails laughed, too.


Just then, a loud gurgle was coming from Merna's belly. Merna even feels something hurting inside her. She clutches her belly and squeezes her eyes shut. Tails looks worried. "Um, Merna? You okay?" he asks. "I almost forgot...." Merna grunted, "Even though we can swim and digest at the same time, eating too much candy while being in the pool isn't a good idea..." "Are you saying you need a belly rub or something?" Tails tilts his head. She nods as she lays back on the water, which her gut was exposed out of the water. "Alright, let's do this." He takes his shoes off and slips into the water. "Good thing it's nice in the warm," Tails sez, trying to make sure he doesn't splash. "Could you please hurry up Tails? It hurts really bad." Merna groans. Tails speeds his pace with his leg under way and reaches her gut with both his hands. He begins to rub gently to gradually calm it down or digest it faster. "Mmmm... that feels so much better. Thanks Tails." She cooed. Tails blushes from that. As for Merna, she, too, was blushing from this sweet feeling after making a whale out of herself. "That feels really good..." She says. "That feels really good..." She says. "You look really pretty when blushing," Tails admits out loud as he continues to rub. "Aww... well, you're pretty cute yourself." She winks. Tails was left speechless, but left with a warm, sweet smile that remains on his face. Tails ran his finger in circles around her belly button. That was then, Merna reacts. Tails stuck his finger in her belly button and heard her giggle in response. She almost flinches by the time Tails did that. "Tails! that tickles!" she laughs even harder. She begins to squirm around, even moving her tail around like insane. Tails gets splashed in the face by her tail and goes under. Tails swirls around underwater like as if he got hit hard on the head, but luckily, it wasn't a hard blow on the head. He looks around the watery horizon. Concerned, Merna pulls him up, allowing him to breathe. Tails manages to catch his breath. At first, he inhales and exhales as much as he can until his breathing pattern returns to it's normal rate. Merna lifts his head. "Are you okay?" she asks.
Tails sighs at the end. "I am A-OKAY, Merna." She hugs him tightly. "Good, sorry about that." Tails feels warm from that hug. "Aw, it's okay," Tails said, curling up onto her.
"Thanks for the belly rub too." She kisses his cheek. Tails' two tails go stiff as hearts fizz around his reddened face. Merna giggled as Tails clumsily climbed out of the pool, and collapsed with a goofy smile on his face. "Oof!" Tails grunted. Merna burst out laughing. "I'm okay..." Tails said as he gets up, looking dizzily around the stars. He finds a towel nearby as he dries himself off. Merna couldn't help, but she really likes how Tails is. 'Wow.' she thought. 'I didn't think I'd like Tails this much. But now that I think about it, Maybe we have some kind of connection or something...' But then again, she does have a connection with Sonic as well. 'Which do I like more? Sonic? or Tails? Sonic? or Tails? Ugh! I can't decide!' She covered her head with her hands. "Tails!" Sonic's voice was heard. Tails got up and heads to the kitchen. "Coming, Sonic." When he disappeared, she then remembers that it doesn't' matter who she will be with. Even if chooses either, she'll always be a good friend to both of them. So she decides to let it go. "I'm really lucky to have friends like those two." she says.

The Next Day....

"Morning Merna!" she woke up to find Tails looking at her. He held a stack of waffles on a plate in one hand and a cup of orange juice in the other. Merna's tongue hung out as she wags her fishy tail like a dog. Tails chuckles at the sight. "Alright, here ya go." She wastes no time in devouring the delicacy before her. While she eats, her tails still wags. Not to mention, the ribbon made from her busted belt is still on the end of her fin. Tails takes a liking to her ribbon and he sits down on the couch that was near the pool.
'Huh, I guess she's experienced an increase in her appetite as well.' he thought as he watched her eat.

"BURP!" Merna laid back, patting her satisfied belly. "Ahh, that was great." she said. Merna balanced the now empty plate on her belly, still the same size from last night, though slightly bigger due to the large breakfast she had just eaten. "How was it this time?" Tails asked as he gets off the couch. Tails walks over and takes the plate. "Incredible, you guys are really good cooks." Merna says as she pats her belly, hearing it slosh as she did so. "I'll take that tray from you, thank you," Tails said as he takes it from her jiggling gut.

"Thanks. Hey, where's Sonic?" she asked. They heard footsteps on the roof and saw Sonic fall into a pile of snow. Tails rolled his eyes. "He's putting christmas lights on the roof." "Oof!" they heard Sonic grunted. "Sounds like he's gonna be up there for a while." she said. "Well, I told him that the snow is getting heavy lately," Tails said. Then he slaps his forehead as he remembers something important, "Oh man, the party is tonight!" "Really!?" Merna's eyes lit up. "Oh gosh, I can't wait!" Just then, the thump of a door was heard as it made the door opened. Sonic came in covered in snow and was shivering violently. Tails runs to the door and shuts it. Placing a towel around Sonic, he asks, "Are the lights set up?" "Y-y-y-yeah. I g-g-got 'em." he stuttered. "Perfect!" Tails said with a smile, "You think you'll be able to help make the food before our guests arrive tonight?" "I-I-I d-don't k-know, I c-can't feel my l-legs man." He falls over. Merna thinks it would help if he joins in the water. So she decides to speak up. "Hey Tails, bring him in here." she says. Tails drags his best friend into the pool. Knowing he can't swim, Merna holds onto him for support. "Oh and could you make us some hot chocolate?" she asks. Sonic was beginning to feel some warmth. Still shivering a bit, Sonic nods. "Alright, be right back." Tails goes into the kitchen.

While Tails was gone, Merna holds onto the shivering Sonic. 'The poor thing must be freezing to death,' She thought. Sonic was hugging onto her. It took Sonic a while to notice that she gained again. He hugs her belly as if she were a giant teddy bear. "So... soft..." he said. Merna blushed as she said, "I had a big breakfast before you fell in." She tittered after that. Sonic didn't really hear her, he was too preoccupied in feeling how soft she was. He even hears the gurgles inside her fishy belly. Tails came in with two mugs full of hot chocolate. "I waited for them to cool off, so they shouldn't be too hot." He sets it down. Merna then sez, "Thanks," she takes one. Merna dipped her tongue in it. It was pretty warm, so she didn't hesitate to drink it all. But then, she remembers Sonic. "Hey Sonic?" She looks down to see him still cuddling her belly. Then, she gets an idea. She downs the other mug and waits for her belly to heat up. After a few minutes, Sonic begins to feel it grow warmer. "Mmmm... So warm..." he coos. Merna rubs the top of his head. "I just love your belly when it's so chubby and soft," Sonic sighs. Merna hugs him. "It's like my own personal heater too." she said. Just then, Merna has her face close to Sonic's.
She blushes when she realizes how close their faces are together.

Having that sweet passionate moment, it was all of a sudden interrupted when Tails' voice was heard. "Hey, guys, let's get the party ready before the others get here!" Sonic let's go of Merna. "Alright, let's go!" He climbs out of the pool and gets to work. Sonic then looks back with that flirtatious look on his face. "You rock, Merna," he said before heading out make the whole house festive...

HOURS LATER...

"Alright." Tails said, putting the last bottle of soda on the table. "Everything looks good." The whole place was filled with Christmas goodies. Lots of Christmas cookies, plum puddings, chocolate, all of them. There was even some beverages on the table while there are apple cider in the ice cooler with the other soft drinks. It was really like a Christmas party.
"Tails ol' buddy, this will be a night to remember." Sonic said.


*6:30 PM, THAT MOMENT*

DING DONG!

"I'll get it!" Sonic rushes to the door. By the time Sonic answers the door, everyone was coming in. Everyone like Shadow, Rouge, Blaze, Silver, Knuckles, Julie-Su, Cream & Cheese, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Vector, Espio, Charmy, and, of course, Amy Rose! "Hey what's up guys? Merry christmas!" Sonic said. "Great, Sonic," Sally said as she was in her original blue vest and blue high boots, but has red and green pearls around her neck along with her blue scarf. Shadow huffed. "Had a hard time finding the place." He was wearing a sweater in red and green zigzags. Sonic chuckles as he mentions them about a new guest in the party as well.

"Trust me, you guys are gonna love her." Sonic says. That caught Vector's attention. "Her?" Victor was wearing a red scarf that has a one music note on the side. he said. Sonic chuckles. "Alright! they're here!" he shouts. Merna bursts out of the water, flipping her hair back and brushing some of it out of her face while giving a seductive look. The others gasped. Vector fainted with hearts in his eyes. Espio slapped his forehead. He removed his black hat and green gloves, wrapping them up in his red scarf with reindeer prints. As soon as Vector sits up, Espio stuffs the balled up clothes in his mouth before he can say anything stupid. Amy and Sally, too, were surprised. Amy was dressed in a red coat with white mittens with a matching scarf and hat. She had no idea what a girl was in Sonic's cabin. 'I hope she's just a friend.' she thought. Silver was smiling and blushing at the sight of the merhog. He was dressed in a green sweater with snowflake prints and matching earmuffs. Blaze nudged his shoulder, reminding him of his girlfriends presence. She was wearing a white coat and diamond earings. Julie-Su was dressed in a black leather jacket and biker gloves. She was also confused as to why a merhog was here. When she saw Knuckles, dressed up in his grey jacket and wool hat, drooling at the merhog, she tapped his shoulder and looked at him with an annoyed expression on her face. He smiled nervously and shrugged. Amy was surprised to see a mermaid. In fact, she's all like, "Oh, Sweet Aurora! A merhog!" Her eyes gleamed as her hands were squeezing her own cheeks like a cute, excited school girl. "Suprised?" She asks. "Sacreau bleu." Antoine, in his usual blue attire, was mesmerized by the beauty he saw bfore him. Bunnie sees Antoine looking at her like that. She's wearing a brown coat with black wool gloves. She steps on his foot. "Yipe!" Antoine yelped as he winces while holding his foot.


Merna was standing there, blushing in front of the crowd as she shyly responds a "Hi, guys....' Sonic rubs the back of his head, realizing how awkward this is. "Her name's Merna, she's an old friend of me and Tails." They all walked towards the pool. Looking amazed of her, they all muttered positively and agreeably. Merna feels like she is being accepted by her peers. "So, are we gonna get this party started or what?" She said. They all cheered and Sonic hit play on the CD player.

The party was alive with dancing, conversation, and Merna chatted up with the girls.
"So after I bear that awful Krabmeat, I said to him 'Buddy, you really need to get some sleep, 'cuz you sure look CRABBY!" Merna joked. Bunnie, Julie-Su, Bunnie, Sally, and Amy giggled from that. As for Vector, he appears to have eggnog on his own gloves, staring around Merna's beautiful physique of slimness and beauty. Or at least what he thinks is slimness because all he can see is the upper part of her body. He then gets an idea. He whispers in Charmy's ear and waits until the bee hangs a mistletoe over her head to make his move. He casually walks over and approaches Merna. "Well hello." he says. Merna notices him. She scans his looks, noticing that he has been working out lately. She really likes the way he looks yet he isn't that crazy for men with nice pecs. "Oh, hello there, big boy...." she start with a tease. Vector looks up and she follows his gaze, seeing what he's looking at. "We're right under the mistletoe. You know what that means, right?" he said. Merna tilts her head. "Mistletoe?" Merna appears to be not familiar with that since she spends most of her life under the sea. She looks up and she notices Charmy, swaying the mistletoe gently. "Is that a toe made of mistle?" she questions.

Vector just smiles. "Why don't I show you what means, pucker up." he closes his eyes and is about ready to kiss her. Merna wasn't sure how to react. She sees know that it's some Christmas tradition to kiss under the mistletoe. Just then, she has a sneaky yet silly idea. Vector comes in closer, with his big reptillian lips. Merna notices that Amy was talking to Sally while holding a smooth sugar bread cookie. Merna swipes that cookie of her hand. "Hey!" Amy yelled. But just then, she places that cookie onto Vector's lips. "Mmf?" Vector looked puzzled.
He opened his eyes and notices that he was chewing was a sugar bread cookie instead of feeling a smooch. Merna smirked. "Sorry, you're not really my type." And went back to conversing with everybody else. But she looks back at the embarrassed crocodile and gives him a lovely wink.  Vector's blush grows darker as he chews on the cookie. Espio walks near Vector, questioning, "Just what has gotten into you tonight?" Charmy flies to Espio, answering, "He's got a crush on that mermaid!" Espio looks at that blushed face of that crocodile. "Just look at her boys. She's the picture of beauty." He continues gazing at her. "You need to be careful," Espio suggested, "You might end up tripping over your own feet." "Yeah," Charmy agreed, "like the time you were trying to flirt with Vanilla Rabbit." Vector looked even more embarassed remembering his pathetic attempts on Cream's mother.

Around that time, Cream was near Merna, all excited to see her. "Miss Merhog, I always believe in mermaids, and It's always been my dream to actually see one. I can't believe that you really are real." Merna blushes from such sweet words, especially from a child who always believe in magical creatures. "Aww, thanks kid. It's nice to meet someone new every once in a while." She said. Cheese flies near Merna, tilting its head. Merna finds that chao so adorable. "And whose this cute little guy?" She coos. "That's Cheese, Miss Merhog, my friend," Cream sez. Cheese's blue face redden when Merna called him 'cute'. "Well come here, let Merna hold you." She cradles him in her arms like a baby and pokes his belly. "Chao chao chao!" Cheese reacts as he was all happy from that sweet feeling. In fact, he feels like he is beginning to fall in love with her. He cuddle the merhog like a big teddy bear. Merna chuckles as she notices what was going on with dear Cheese. Cream giggles. "He must really like you." she said. Merna looks down and notices. He was snuggling onto her as if Cheese wants to be with her forever. Merna titters as she sez, "Oh, you're just the most sweetest, most adorable creature I have ever seen in all my days." She then kisses Cheese on the cheek. Cheese glows bright red and really hot. so hot that the water he was sitting in evaporated, leaving him with a relaxed smile. Not to mention that his ball floating above Cheese was now in a form of a heart. Merna then gives the love-struck chao to Cream. "My, you are very lucky to have him for a friend, Cream."


"Thank you Miss Merna." Cream said before leaving the merhog by herself. 'Looks like all the boys have their eyes on little ol' me..." She looked over to find Antoine looking and she winked. Bunnie walks near Antoine, making sure that he wasn't trying to flirt with another woman. "Sugah-twan, you're not tryin' to hit on anoffer gal, are yeh?" she questions her husband. Antoine spins around at the sound of her voice. "O-of coure not moi fleur, I vould never in a zillion years do such a thing to you." He chuckles nervously while she just gives him an 'o rly?' kind of look. Bunnie then decides to have a friendly talk with Merna as she was holding a glass of eggnog, no alcohol in it. Merna looks up to see the rabbot offering her eggnog. "Oh, thanks." she says. Bunnie, right?" "Sure am, sugah..." Bunnie chuckled. When Merna sips the eggnog, she can't help but feel uncomfortable. Bunnie responds, "Oh no, nothing like that. It's just that ah wish ah was just as beautiful as a mermaid like you. If ah were, then Ahnt-twan will stop falling for you." "Who?" Merna tilts her head. "Mah husband," Bunnie explains, showing that she isn't angry of Merna. "Oh." She chuckles. "Yeah, all guys get like that around me." "Ah, well," Bunnie said with a smile. Just then, Sally and Amy came in. "Say, Merna, mind if you tell us how you've met Sonic?" Sally questions politely to the mermaid as she finishes her eggnog. The merhog sits up as she explains everything.

Minutes of sharing her adventures from that time in that Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog ("THE LITTLE MERHOG"), the girls were left surprised. Then she gets to the part when she was out from the beach that night before being put on the pool. "And when it got really cold out, I decided to crawl out on dry land. But found out the hard way that it was just as cold up here as it is in the ocean. I would've froze if Sonic and Tails hadn't found me." she says. "I must say, Sonic sure knows how to steal a girl's heart," Sally scoffed with jest. "Yeah, what a great guy..." Merna sighed. Sally then questions to her, "Has he kissed you before?". Merna puts a finger to her chin. "Not really." "Of course, he did," Tails butted in, holding a glass of apple cider, "Remember? After he stopped Robotnik, he gave you a passionate one."  Amy intervened. "I think the real question is: how long did it last?" Merna blushed as she tries to think up an answer without upsetting one of the girls who seem to have some feelings towards Sonic. "Well?" Amy asked. Merna blurted out a "A few seconds", but not like loud. Amy and Sally looked at each other before chuckling. "That long?" Sally asked. Merna nods. "Well, wouldn't be the first time." Amy said. Merna looks up, questioning, "What makes you say that?"  "Sonic rarley ever kissed me on the lips when we were together." She admits. Sally chuckles. "I remember when Sonic and I kissed one night after a mission in robotropolis. He asked me how it was, and I said: 'okay'. I didn't want to tell him, but I could taste the chili dogs on his breath." She finished, laughing. Merna laughed at hearing something so funny. She wiped a tear from her eye. "Wow, no wonder his breath smelled so good." She laughed even harder. Tails, too, was laughing along. He knew Sonic so well. He even knows the fact about his pal and his appetite of chili dogs.


Then they heard Sonic shouting. "Alright guys! Nog off!" They all looked at him. He holds up a large gallon of non-alcoholic eggnog. "See who can drink the most." "Who?" one of the girls questioned. Merna smiled. Vector stood up. "I'll do it!" Merna raised her hand. "Me too!" Vector turns to see Merna having her hand up. He couldn't believe it.  She smirked. "What's the matter big boy? Scared you might lose?" She teased. Vector shook his head violently as he responds, "Lose?" He gets into a tough position. "What's there about losing? I'll game against yah, babe." He tries to hold his breath to keep his nice posture. She chuckles. "Whatever you say. Let's do it."  Vector nods agreeably.
After the two were seated at a table, Sonic placed two jugs of eggnog in front of them. "Okay, whoever finishes the entire gallon first wins. Ready... Set... GO!" They ripped off the lids and proceeded drinking.


Sonic thought Vector was in the lead. But halfway through, Vector started drinking slower while Merna kept going. Vector tries to make sure that he doesn't weaken if he has to consume more. He then looks at Merna. She was drinking the last bit of eggnog! Vector was shocked seeing her ahead of him. He tried to finish his, but just as he was about to...*Oh, no* Vector thought as he was now feeling too full. He promptly set the jug down and his head dropped on the table.
Vector feels defeated as he pants wearily. He feels like maybe he shouldn't drink so fast during this contest. Because of that, he feels like his stomach is stretching outward. He moans as Sonic announces the winner. "The winner: Merna!" Sonic yelled. Merna finally drank the whole thing, slamming her jug on the table. Everybody cheers as Merna belches in victory. She looks over at Vector and pats him on the back. "Good job." she says. "Hiccup!" It came out of Vector's back. Just like how you would burp a baby by patting them on the back. "Here." He gives her his half-full jug of eggnog. "Thanks." She takes it and finishes it off for him. "Thanks." Merna said, before she made a small belch.

Merna gave her now beachball-sized stomach a pat, hearing it slosh in response. "Guess I've been eating or drinking a lot since I got here," Merna confesses. Every body has a good laugh before Merna speaks up. "Could someone help me back into the pool? I feel like a fish out of water." Knuckles thinks he should lend a hand. "I gotcha." He lifts with almost no effort, but turns his head to the side to keep her belly out of his face. "Careful," Merna cooed nervously. He slowly lowers her back into the pool.

Merna swims around merrily, happy to be back. The others looked over the pool watching the marvelous merhog swimming around. Fascinated by how gloriously a creature like her can swim. Even those who have crushes on her, like Cheese and Vector, find her quite a goddess of beauty. Merna rises up, splashing and flipping her head back gracefully as she did so. "You look better in the pool, Merna, babe," Said Vector who was near her, blushing. "Thanks." She runs a hand across his face, making him sweat and drool. She giggled at the sight. "I wish I could swim," Cream said, really feeling like doing in for a dip. Merna dives below the surface. In fact, one of the guys agree what Cream said. Swimming would be nice though.
Knuckles was the first, going in wearing only his underwear. Julie-Su stares down there as she gives Knuckles a tease. Knuckles comes up to the surface. "Come on guys, the water's great." he says. The others muttered agreeably. Then, everybody changes and dives in. There was a huge splash as everybody jumped in. And from that, half of the place is wet. But nobody cared because they were having a great time. Tails was in his same trunks he wore back when Merna kissed him. Sonic was in his as well, and trying to make sure that his hydrophobia (fear of water) doesn't get the best of him.

At this moment, Merna was happy to see everyone joining in the fun. Just when she swims by Sonic, Sonic taps her on the shoulder. She emerges and questions him, "Yes, Sonic?" she tilts her head. Sonic smiled as she givers her a small, round yet flat present that is red and green. "This is for you, Merna..." Sonic said. Merna was very excited to see what he has for her. She takes it and starts opening it. When she did, it was a new belt! A new belt that can go on any sizes. She remembers her belt which was snapped, still around her tail. She was quite pleased and happy to have a new one. Trying it on around her normal waist, lost some weight from swimming around, and it was perfect on her. She hugs him. "Thank you, Sonic the Hedgehog," she said with a merry tone as she all of the sudden kissed him. The gang noticed as the girls see that as well. Everyone went to back having fun...

Merna rises up and says the very famous quote: "Merry christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
