A cabin was resting about a hill where trees surround it all around it. The cabin was old yet bold wood as the woods remains wild yet peaceful. Inside the cabin, nearby a fireplace (which no fire at all at this hour) is Thomas, curled up and sleeping like a kitten. As he softly snoozes, there was something stirring in a mousehole not too far from the resting body. Out comes in that clever mouse, Jerry. He peers over, smiling as if he has some trick up his sleeve. He quickly and quietly tiptoes his way toward Tom's back. He gets into position and then he kicks the cat right on the backside. Tom jumped with a frightened yowl and glances behind him. At that time, Jerry begins to flee away, convincing the cat to chase after him for disturbing his nap. And so, their famous, everyday chase starts as well as the chase music plays.

The front door was opened as Jerry and Tom zoomed out of the cabin. They run around every tree and crashing through bushes and shrubs. It even scares off some squirrels and field mice that were in those bushes. Tom chases Jerry into a hole of the tree and out of a hole of another tree. ((Cartoon logic, obviously)). There was even a moment when Jerry comes across a few piles of burrs nearby him. He had an idea on what to do to slow Tom down. As Tom was trying to catch up, Jerry took those burrs and tosses at him like incoming bombs. Before the cat even knew, one of those burrs jabbed onto his fur. He yelps in pain as he stops right at the moment. He has like 7 to 9 burrs around him, even on his forehead. He begins to pull them out, which was absolutely difficult to remove them. This was Jerry's opportunity to make haste. Out Jerry ran away and hides into a bush nearby an old redwood.

He peeps out of the hole that's nearby a branch just a few feet taller than Tom. He watches Tom trying get most of the burrs off. Jerry couldn't help, but to snicker at his stressful and arduous attempts to removes those burrs each. While he laughs, he hears a very loud purr. He looks back and there was a fluffy shrub that has some purple-petaled flowers with lost of spear-shaped leaves. Not only that, but there was a black and gray cat that is rubbing all around. That mouse recognizes that cat: Butch, Tom' s rival and Jerry's second predator! Squinting his eyes, he notices that Butch seems very playful and too happy while he rolls around. "Oh, how I love this kind of plant," he purred loudly and giddily. He was rubbing around, rolling around, and purrs very frequently. Jerry has no clue what on Earth is that plant. But then, a man in hiking boots, jeans, and plaid shirt can in, looking a bit hefty yet bold. That man said with a deep voice, "Well, now, Butchy! I see you're having fun there with all that catnip." He added a laugh before continuing, "But I think you have enough for one day! The more you have that catmint, the more far out you go! Come on, now!" He begins to pick up the snuggly feline with his big arms, "It's almost lunchtime and you need a nap to wear that stuff out before yours!" Butch didn't seem to care. Already hooked on that stuff, he nuzzles around the man's chest and belly. The man laughed as he walks away, saying, "I love a cat that snuggles!" Jerry was quite surprised to hear what that plant does. He finds it funny to hear that those kind are called, "Catnip" or "Catmint". But then, he has a sneaker idea...

Back to Tom, he was getting one last burr that was on his forehead. He was cringing to remove it. As far as he can pull, it was finally out. Unfortunately, it took a lot of his furr. When he realized it, he did his famous yell in pain that you'd remember hearing from those cartoons. He throws away that burr angrily and then, a whistle was heard. He turns and spots Jerry, waving at him. Tom springs up towards the branch, but Jerry made a jump into the same bush that's near the catnip. The mouse lands safely inside a bush, waiting for Tom to come down. Tom, angry as before, leaps off towards the bush with a big bounce. They were inside the bush now as Jerry was in the lead again, heading pass the catnip. As they did, Tom froze all of the sudden.

He stood there as if some siren sang a song to his ear. His eyes widened. He smiles as stood there. He then walks back to that spot where the catnip was still located. His grin was broader than it was before as he takes a cute lick on it. Like a flash, his eyes glittered and the whole background was flashed to white. Only he and the catnip were left. His pupils were light green with lots of circles in each of them. He begins to slump to the ground and purred. Tom crawls closer to the plant as he begin to nuzzle on the leafs. Everything all around was filled with colors and shapes all of the sudden. Tom was licking a lot of those leafs until it gets to a point when he begins to bite on them. Chewing them, he end up nuzzling more on the plants. On the sky was filled with pink as well as there are some jelly-fish-like objects floating about. Those that are light blue and light gold with lightning-like lines dangling about. Everything was like something from a dream. Tom finally shoves some of those leafs in his mouth as he finally falls backwards, giving out that dumb look. The leafs were on him as his eyes glow from this substance. The sounds were filled with weird echoes all about as he purrs away.

Back to reality, we see Tom ready rolling around on catnip. Jerry watches the cat with a proud grin. He decides to see if Tom is too drugged to even notice him. He walk towards the laying body of a stoned cat and snaps his fingers. Nothing! He reaches to his backside and yanks out some fur, testing if Tom will react. Still nothing! The mouse was quite surprised how much this effects cats quite quickly. He begins to walk on Tom's belly and stops at his chest to see if Tom can see him. From the vibrates on the cat's chest, he knows that this cat is purring as often as Butch was. He waves his arm at Tom's face to either snap him out or see him. Tom's glowing eyes were fixed onto Jerry. To him, there were three mice in different colors. A brown mouse (really Jerry), a blue one with yellow, and a pink one with orange. Tom responds by trying to Jerry, but only the imaginary ones at Jerry's sides. Tom doesn't look mad as he still appears out calm and happy, but in a drugged way. Jerry begins to smirk as this was growing awfully amusing. Just then, Jerry lost it as he falls onto Tom's chest, laughing out so hard. It was so funny, tears were rolling out of his eyes. He couldn't even breathe.

Just then, Tom lays his arm onto Jerry. He drags it back, successfully grabbing the mouse. Jerry wonders what Tom is going to do. As a feline who is overly exposed to catmint, he begins to hugs him tightly. The moust almost choked from being squeezed out. But it was no longer tight as Tom purrs on. He even licks him, making the mouse worried that he'll get eaten. Apparently, he won't. Tom kisses him as if he was some lovely babe. Jerry gags, spitting from that kiss. He begins to have second thoughts of having Tom hooked up on this plant. He tries to pull himself out, but failed. He begins to suggest that cats lost their sense of mind as they're so addicted to this plant, as well as humans are with other substances. He looks around to find someway to get out of this. Tom keeps on purring as he rubs around while holding Jerry.

During that time, the tree that was near the bush and the two was being stirred by an creature up above. A woodpecker flies above and lands on a big branch. In spite of the size of that branch, the small yet determined fowl begins to peck on the heavy wood. Within seconds, he manages to reach to the bottom. He chirps victoriously. He notices it's not fallen out yet. So he decides to give the branch a small touch from its tiny toe. All of the sudden, the heavy branch fell below. Unaware of the incoming branch, Tom was snuggling onto the peeved mouse. Within a moment,....

BASH!

The branch lands right on the head. Seeing stars from that hard blow, he falls back and passes out. Jerry was freed when Tom's consciousness faded, making his paw loose. Jerry was quite pleased that it was all over. He thinks it's best if Tom was never exposed to catnip ever. He remembers where the cabin is, but he has no choice, but to drag the unconscious cat. So he grabs him by the tail and begins to strain while pulling Tom home. It was a good thing to him that mice are immune to catnip.

The whole vision was blackened. Echoes were echoing about. And there is nothing inside of this realm of darkness. Just then, the eyelids lift up. At first, it was blurry but then it was finally focused. The eye view happens to be Thomas's. The cat finally regained consciousness as he moans from the pain in his head. He holds it, looking around to see where he is. He's back in the fireplace where he started. Feeling weak, he sits there as he peers out if that rodent is anywhere. Oddly, he isn't. Tom felt like it was just some silly dream yet he couldn't figure out why does he have that memory with everything being weird and trippy. He shrugs as he went back to sleeping on that spot. For Jerry...? Well, he's back in his mousehole, enjoying his cheese on his chair. He couldn't help it, but it was still funny when Tom was exposed to catnip. Maybe it would be best if he doesn't get near Tom if he is drugged again. Even though he thought Tom should never be drugged, he has a small bag of catnip leaning on the side of his couch. He looks at us with a sly wink as the iris fades out...

- The End -
This is a rather odd yet fun story to write about. Inspired from a wacky picture Julia aka AdolfWolfed4Life :iconadolfwolfed4life: did yesterday. ((Check it out: fav.me/d94r2dq )). If you ask me, this is a very rare concept to me. So I decide to write the synopsis of how was Tom exposed to catnip. I sure hope you guys will love it.
